Mission Statement
The Section of Urology at The University of Arizona Medical Center and the University of Arizona is dedicated to making life better for the residents of Arizona by:

  • providing the most modern, effective, and compassionate care for our patients
  • creating and validating improved diagnostic tests and therapeutic modalities
  • developing and disseminating an improved understanding of urologic disease
  • educating and training for the next generation of urologists as well as working with current urologic health care professionals to enhance patient care throughout the state
  • involving ourselves in community and national service

The University of Arizona Medical Center urologists provide in-depth, expert diagnosis and treatment of general urologic problems as well as complex urologic disease.  The department also offers state-of-the-art patient care in an environment conducive to improving the understanding of urologic disease.

The University of Arizona Medical Center Urologists have special expertise in:

  • enlarged prostate
  • impotence
  • incontinence
  • laparoscopic surgery
  • neurologic disorders affecting the urinary tract
  • pediatric urology and deformities of the urinary system
  • pelvic pain and interstitial cystitis
  • urethral stricture disease
  • urinary infections and stones
  • urologic cancers

Additionally, The University of Arizona Medical Center surgeons offer other minimally invasive treatments for benign prostate enlargement such as Trans Urethral Needle Ablation (TUNA) therapy.
