Mission Statement
The Section of Urology at The University of Arizona Medical Center and the University of Arizona is dedicated to making life better for the residents of Arizona by:
- providing the most modern, effective, and compassionate care for our patients
- creating and validating improved diagnostic tests and therapeutic modalities
- developing and disseminating an improved understanding of urologic disease
- educating and training for the next generation of urologists as well as working with current urologic health care professionals to enhance patient care throughout the state
- involving ourselves in community and national service
The University of Arizona Medical Center urologists provide in-depth, expert diagnosis and treatment of general urologic problems as well as complex urologic disease. The department also offers state-of-the-art patient care in an environment conducive to improving the understanding of urologic disease.
The University of Arizona Medical Center Urologists have special expertise in:
- enlarged prostate

- incontinence
- laparoscopic surgery
- neurologic disorders affecting the urinary tract
- pediatric urology and deformities of the urinary system
- pelvic pain and interstitial cystitis
- urethral stricture disease
- urinary infections and stones
- urologic cancers
Additionally, The University of Arizona Medical Center surgeons offer other minimally invasive treatments for benign prostate enlargement such as Trans Urethral Needle Ablation (TUNA) therapy.
