Application
The University of Arizona and Tucson Hospitals Urology Residency Program consists of a five year training program. One categorical position is available for the first year of training and two positions every other year for the 3rd year training in urology.
Candidates selected in the past have been among the upper one-third of their medical school class.
Interviews are scheduled by invitation only following faculty review of all applications and supporting letters. However, before any action can be taken on an application, all of the following materials must be submitted via ERAS no later than October 1st of each year (applications received after this date will NOT be considered):
- ERAS application
- Three letters of recommendation
- Dean's letter
- Official transcripts from medical school
- USMLE scores
Interviews will be scheduled in November and December and consists of an all-day interview. Interviews will take place both at The University of Arizona Medical Center and at the Tucson VA Medical Center (transportation between the two facilities is provided). The University of Arizona Urology Program does not go through the NRMP, so you do not need a code number to apply to this program.
