Radiology

Radiology is the branch of medicine that uses a wide range of imaging tools to diagnose disease and evaluate the results of therapy. UPH radiologists are skilled in performing diverse and state-of-the-art imaging techniques including x-rays, CAT scans, ultrasound, and magnetic resonance (MRI).

The radiology department is also highly active in imaging research, ranking among the top 20 departments for national research funding.

UPH radiologists and department scientists pioneered digital imaging and were the first in Southern Arizona to implement digital mammography.
