UPH family medicine physicians offer wide-ranging general health care to all patients regardless of age or gender. They provide preventive health care and care of acute and chronic illnesses (such as diabetes and hypertension). They are also skilled in performing office procedures such as removal or biopsy of skin lesions.
With a focus on the family, UPH physicians provide family-centered maternity care and deliveries, as well as care for infants and children and for the more specialized needs of women and older adults.
They care for patients in the hospital as well as in outpatient clinics, maintain excellent relationships with specialists in the community and refer patients for evaluation and treatment when necessary.
UPH also offers special family medicine clinic sessions for colposcopy, same-day care, women’s health care, and sports medicine and integrative medicine consultations. Special Programs Refugee Clinics provide initial and ongoing healthcare for nearly 1,000 refugees from around the world each year.
