The University of Arizona Medical Center cardiothoracic surgeons treat adult and pediatric patients who might be candidates for – or are recovering from – cardiothoracic surgery.  This surgery specialty offers diagnosis, consultation, surgery and therapeutic services for patients with cardiac (heart) and pulmonary (lung) disease. 

Additionally, our world-class faculty have pioneered the areas of mechanically-assisted heart devices and heart and lung transplant surgery.
