
Our team of therapists have specialties that allow them to maximize our patients' ability to improve and maintain mobility, strength, gait and balance. We also work to better our patients' quality of life through effective pain management.
Both outpatient and inpatient physical therapy services are performed by licensed and certified physical therapists for children, adolescents and adults. Our staff works one-on-one with each patient to maximize function. We always encourage caregiver education and participation and can also offer home program guidelines and practice activities as needed.

Common Diagnostic Populations Served
- Post-Op-providing treatment for patients following surgery to help improve their strength, range of motion (ROM) and return to daily personal care and recreational activities.
- Systemic conditions-providing treatment to alleviate symptoms of systemic conditions as when using exercise with diabetics to improve blood sugar levels, or when designing stretching and mobility programs for people with Parkinson's; including treating bone health or lymphadema.
- Pain conditions-providing treatment to help patients manage pain conditions related to headaches, back and neck pain, joint pain, repetitive stress injuries and other muscular conditions.
- Neurological conditions-providing treatment for mobility deficits that arise from conditions, such as, Parkinson's, MS exacerbation and stroke.

Tracy Carroll, PT, CHT, MPH
Tracy specializes in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation and has practiced physical therapy in Tucson in outpatient and home health settings since 1986. Her teaching and research focus is border, refugee and global health. She is a clinical preceptor and co-director of the Global Health curriculum for the Department of Family and Community Medicine. An avid recreational soccer player, Tracy is committed to helping adults stay fit throughout their life cycles. Additional areas of interest include disability management, ergonomics and treatment of neck and back pain.

Ami Griver, PT, DPT, CKTP
Ami had amassed experience as a licensed physical therapist at various settings in the Tucson community when he joined The University of Arizona Medical Center - South Campus in 2004. His areas of expertise include headache management, vertigo, balance, and providing clinical instruction for PT and PTA students. Ami serves as part of the multidisciplinary team with the Hospital's MDA/ALS clinic and is also certified in Kinesiotaping. He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University. |

Joni Kalis, PT, MS
Joni has practiced physical therapy since 1992 and specializes in outpatient orthopaedic care, post-operative rehabilitation and sports physical therapy. She serves on various national committees, advisory groups and task forces. Joni has published articles in medical journals, is a speaker on regulatory topics and is a recipient of the Outstanding Service Award from the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy. She is the past president of the Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy where she served as a member of the Board for eight years. Joni has a master's degree in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University, as well as a Master's degree in Exercise Physiology from The University of Arizona. |

Sheila Rogan, PT, DPT
Sheila's areas of practice include serving general acute care and outpatients with orthopaedic and neurological conditions. She is also a Certified Clinical Instructor. Sheila holds her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University and has practiced as a licensed PT in the Tucson community since 2005.

Lynn Zoske, PT
Lynn grew up in NYC and received her BS in Physical Therapy in 1971 at the State University of NY in Buffalo. She lived in Albany, NY working in Home Care and in a Rheumatology outpatient practice. "Wanderlust" hit, and Lynn became a a Traveling PT working all over the country living in her RV. In 2000 she settled in Tucson and worked at NW Hospital and in Home Care. Now she has come to the outpatient Physical Therapy Department at UPH where she plans to stay! |
