The UPH Board of Directors affirms that maintaining the privacy and security of confidential health information is a key component of the UPH mission and a commitment we make to our patients and members.  We strive for excellence in complying with the letter and intent of the law, not because compliance is required, but because protecting this information is the right thing to do.  We honor our commitment by establishing a framework designed to build trust and confidence in how we use and disclose confidential health information.  The elements of this framework are:

• security, safeguards and controls 

We support these privacy and security processes by providing our work force with the knowledge, resources and systems required to maintain the highest degree of integrity while handling our patients’ and members’ confidential health information.
