South Campus Clinics Fact Sheet

The Outpatient Clinics at The University of Arizona Medical Center - South Campus provide a wide variety of primary and specialty care services at 2800 E. Ajo Way. The facility was opened with the original hospital in 1977 and was operated by Pima County until 2003. On July 1, 2003, The University of Arizona Medical Center took over operation of the outpatient clinics in an agreement with Pima County.  Now under the management of The University of Arizona Medical Center, the clinics have recruited new physicians to expand patient services. In July 2004, The University of Arizona Medical Center opened a new adult multi-specialty clinic. Renovations in the clinics were completed in the spring of 2005.

Adult Health Clinic Primary care provided by internal medicine physicians, including diagnosis and treatment of complex medical conditions, health check-ups, immunizations and referrals to specialists. Offers specialty care in cardiology, endocrinology gastroenterology, infectious disease, nephrology and rheumatology. In addition, specialty clinics are available to provide services to HIV and Hepatitis-C patients.

Sports Medicine Clinic Primary care for patients of all ages provided by orthopaedic surgeons and primary care sports medicine specialists, including arthroscopy, open repair of torn ligaments, treatment for injuries of: elbow, knee, ankle and shoulder, orthotics & bracing, physical therapy, athletic training, and concussion management available.

Children’s Center Primary care provided for children and babies, including health check-ups, immunizations, sick-child care, and referrals to specialists when needed. Same day appointments are also available.

Chronic Pain Management Chronic Pain Management provides FDA-approved interventional treatments to manage chronic pain through epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, botox injections, facet rhizotomy, sympathetic blocks, implantable systems, radiofrequency procedures, major joint injections, nucleoplasty and diskography.
   
EPICENTER EPICENTER provides specialized, phase-specific treatment for persons early in the course of a psychotic illness, such as Psychosis NOS, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective, and Bipolar Disorder with psychotic features. 
   
Family Medicine Center Family medicine physicians provide comprehensive health care for individuals of all ages.

Multi-Specialty Clinic Specialty care for adults that offers comprehensive consultation and surgery services including the most advanced minimally invasive technology. UPH surgeons offer procedures in the areas of general surgery, urology and vascular surgery. Obstetrics and gynecology are also provided at this clinic.

Neurology Clinic Diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's and related dementias, back and musculoskeletal disorders, Parkinson’s disease, sleep disorders, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and many other conditions, as well as all other general neurological services. Also hosts a headache management clinic and a specialized stroke clinic.
   
Ophthalmology Clinic Provides comprehensive eye care for adults and children.  Neuro-ophthalmology and optometry are also offered.
   
Psychiatry Clinic At the Psychiatry Clinic, physicians provide adult outpatient psychiatry services.
   
Rehabilitation Therapy Clinic The Rehabilitation Therapy Clinic provides outpatient physical, speech and occupational therapy. 
   
Valley Fever Center for Excellence The Valley Fever Center for Excellence provides a multifaceted awareness program to the public, medical practitioners and health care workers.
